State of the Nation Consultation Hub

To inform the State of the Nation: Upper Gastrointestinal (GI) cancers in Australia, we will be engaging people affected by upper GI cancers (pancreatic, liver, stomach, biliary and oesophageal cancers), together with clinicians and researchers across Australia via our consultation hub to acknowledge and understand the individual and collective experiences, the challenges faced, key solutions to overcome these challenges and research challenges and opportunities.
It is intended that the State of the Nation report will make strategic recommendations for how Australia can best improve outcomes for people impacted by upper GI cancers. The report will look at the cancers as a collective, to identify and to outline solutions for the gaps along the patient experience that affect survival outcomes and quality of life. The State of the Nation report will also consider other federal policy work underway, including the development of Australia’s first ever Australian Cancer Plan and National Pancreatic Cancer Roadmap.
