We will be joined by Dale Ischia, who is an Exercise Physiologist.
With over 20 years clinical practice as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, Dale has worked in Adelaide, Melbourne and Vancouver Canada gaining vast experience in musculoskeletal conditions, balance disorders, chronic fatigue, pain management and oncology. The field of Exercise-Oncology has been a focus and passion for Dale over the past 5 years.
Dale’s qualifications include: Bachelor of Applied Science in Physical Education, Graduate Diploma in Exercise Rehabilitation, Diploma in Remedial Massage and American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Certified Cancer Exercise Trainer.
She runs a private clinical practice, ‘Moving Beyond Cancer’ in Camberwell and Heidleberg that provides Exercise Physiology services to people with a cancer diagnosis. This includes assessing a client’s physical function and fitness, goal setting, providing education that encourages people to exercise within their limitations and prescribing a specific exercise program to help them achieve their goals while considering limitations and contraindications.
Dale has also worked with various universities and organisations, such as the cancer council and support groups to further educate various professionals, patients and carers about exercise oncology.
