The team at Pancare Foundation are getting on board and going alcohol-free this July. After celebrating the incredible success of our Unite for Hope event (a little bit too much) it’s time to resettle, refocus and refresh ourselves as we head towards Spring and do some good at the same time!
The funds we raise as part of Dry July will provide invaluable services for Pancare patients, their families and carers – whether it’s guidance from a specialist nurse, connection to an informative voice, access to support groups or funding towards financial support services.
You will also be pleased to know that, as a guaranteed beneficiary nominated by Dry July, 100% of money raised by the Pancare Foundation team will come right back to Pancare to help support our vital activities.
Having a month off alcohol also has great health benefits, such as sleeping better, having more energy and of course, no hangovers! If you join or donate to our team, you’re not only helping others, you’re helping yourself. It’s a win-win! And don’t worry if you’ve missed the start of the month, you can sign up to be a part of our team until Wednesday 15th July! If you’re feeling a bit daunted, then never fear – it’s Dryish July this year – so you don’t have to commit to the whole month!
Each week, 218 Australians are diagnosed with pancreatic or other upper GI cancers. With some of the lowest survival rates out of all major cancers, we need greater awareness and action to fuel progress that improves outcomes for those impacted. Pancare is the only Australian organisation providing specialist support to patients and carers following diagnosis and COVID-19 has made a difficult situation far worse.
We hope to see you on the team! If you can’t join us, feel free to make a donation >
Cheers….well not until August! 🙂
