Living Well Series Webinar – Exercise and upper GI cancer – the importance of keeping active

February 23 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Living Well Series - Exercise

Pancare proudly presents our upcoming Living Well Series webinar, ‘Exercise and upper GI cancer – the importance of keeping active’. The Living Well Series is an informative, online series which seeks to enhance the daily health and wellbeing of patients and their carers, living with an upper gastrointestinal (GI) cancer. Upper GI cancers include pancreatic, liver, stomach, biliary and oesophageal cancers.

Accredited Exercise Physiologist, Dale Ischia, will explore the importance of exercise and keeping active for people living with upper GI cancer. The side effects of surgery and treatment can place additional strain on the body, often leading to fatigue, decline in function, muscle strength and cardiovascular fitness. Exercise can help improve the efficacy and tolerance of treatment and minimise side effects, leading to improved quality of life. This session will explore the importance and benefits of exercise post-surgery, during treatment and beyond.

This informative session will cover topics including:

  • Why exercise is so important
  • What forms of exercise may be best for you
  • The benefits of exercise after surgery and during treatment
  • Factors to consider when starting an exercise program.
  • The session will also allow plenty of time for Dale to respond to any questions you may have.

We anticipate that this will be a popular session, so please ensure you secure your spot today so you don’t miss out. If you can’t make it on the day, don’t worry, we will be able to share a recording of this valuable session with you post-event. You will still need to register to receive this recording.

We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday, February 23, 2021.

> Register your interest today – Upon registration you will be emailed your webinar link and login details.
