Join Julia Milne, PhD student at the Peter McCallum Cancer Centre, as she discusses her research into the genetic changes that occur in common condition Barrett’s oesophagus, which is associated with an increased risk of developing oesophageal cancer.
Throughout this session, Julia will share how research into this area is providing invaluable insight into:
- the genetic makeup of oesophageal tissue
- understanding how oesophageal cancer develops
- uncovering new potential therapies and treatment pathways.
There will also be time available for questions after the presentation.

Our PanSupport Online Patient & Carer Support Group offers a caring, and open forum where you can share your experiences with other people who are affected by upper gastrointestinal (GI) cancers, which include pancreatic, liver, stomach, biliary and oesophageal cancers, from the comfort of your home. Each of these groups will feature a specialist presenter who will talk to you about a specific topic that may be impacting your wellbeing and provide tools to help address challenges you may be facing.
