Festival of Fashion Event
On Saturday 13th May, 2017 the Pancare Foundation held the Festival of Fashion in the exclusive Committee Room at Caulfield Racecourse
Hosted by Georgia Love and Jacqueline Felgate, the Festival of Fashion saw 250 people come together to raise funds to support patients affected by pancreatic, liver, biliary, oesophageal and stomach cancers…sometimes referred to as the forgotten cancers.
Guests enjoyed a delicious three-course meal, prepared by Executive Chef, Ian Curley as well as a premium beverage package provided by Treasury Wine Estates.
Pancare Foundation founder, Dr Mehrdad Nikfarjam spoke about the importance of funding an early detection method for pancreatic cancer and Georgia Love, who sadly lost her mother, Belinda to pancreatic cancer in October last year, spoke with Michael Felgate about what it means to her to be an ambassador for Pancare.
Thanks to WINK Models, guests were treated to a fashion show featuring the latest in spring racing attire from Leona Edmiston, Anthea Crawford, Peter Jackson and milliner, Anita Carr.
We congratulate the winners, chosen by guest judges, Michael Felgate, Georgia Love and Jessica Dunn of the ‘Fashions on the Field’; Kate Davis, wearing Alannah Hill, Emily Garson, in Bec & Bridge and Sophie Nesci who wore a beautiful headpiece by Carla Murley.
Ongoing supporters, Peter, Areti and their son, George Arvanitis presented Dr Nikfarjam with a cheque for $50,000 as part of a $150,000 pledge to help fund early detection and treatment for pancreatic cancer.
Auctioneer, Glen Coutinho and his daughter led an exciting live auction, offering items such as a Phuket getaway, magnum of Penfolds Grange and a corporate box for 10 at the MCG.
We wish to thank our Major Sponsor, Ladbrokes along with Treasury Wine Estates, Melbourne Racing Club, WINK Models, Madman Printing, Faith Agency, Ian Curley and Flowers by the Road Stall, Jacqueline and Michael Felgate as well as David Trussler and Doug Rowe. Their generous support ensured the day was a success.
