Floorworld in partnership with Pancare Foundation – laying the foundations for impacting the cause
Pancare Foundation are thrilled to announce a new, national partnership with speciality flooring retailer Floorworld, to take on Australia’s toughest cancers – upper gastrointestinal cancers.
This November marks the launch of the dedicated campaign during pancreatic and stomach cancer awareness months, which will see the 42 national Floorworld stores and around 300 staff go purple to raise funds and awareness for Pancare Foundation. As part of the campaign, Floorworld have also mobilised the support of six of their leading flooring suppliers.
“We’ve been fortunate to have a long-standing connection to the cause for many years”, explained Floorworld CEO, Bob Crotty. “One of our original directors unfortunately passed away from pancreatic cancer many years ago. For those of us at Floorworld who have been within the business for some time, it’s had a huge impact on us.”
“Over the years we’ve proudly supported the work of the Foundation through various events, but this year marks the beginning of something new and exciting. We’ve been inspired by the incredible work Pancare does in supporting families impacted by pancreatic and other upper GI cancers and feel that we can contribute in helping raise vital awareness and through revenue that allows the Foundation to continue to grow and help more Australians,” said Bob.
During the month of November, Floorworld together with selected supplier partners will be offering a portion of sales from specific product lines to Pancare Foundation to help support the growth of several initiatives of the Foundation, including the expansion of patient support services and programs and research.
“For our Australian suppliers that generously agreed to support the campaign and for Floorworld, this is all about giving back, supporting the community and causes that need it most. Our stores are locally owned and operated and we’ve had several staff reach out to us and share how they, their networks and communities have been impacted by these cancers and how proud they are to get behind the campaign. It is about time these cancers achieved greater recognition and awareness and we’re proud of our role in helping do that,” said Bob.
