Floorworld hits the floor running once again in support of Pancare this Pancreatic and Stomach Cancer Awareness Month
Pancare Foundation are pleased to announce that our incredible supporters and partners, Floorworld, will once again work with Pancare to help raise awareness and much needed funds this November during Pancreatic and Stomach Cancer Awareness Month.
This impactful partnership has gained momentum over the past 12-months thanks to the hard work and dedication of Floorworld CEO Bob Crotty, long-term Pancare Foundation supporter and Floorworld franchise owner Helen, Floorworld’s leading supplier partners and the incredible franchise teams and staff that support these exceptional organisations.
Floorworld launched their first campaign in collaboration with their supplier partners, in support of Pancare Foundation in November 2020. Since then, Floorworld and seven of their leading Australian supplier partners, have participated in two successful campaigns, mobilising 300 team members, in 42 Floorworld stores, across 7 states.
To date, this collaboration has resulted in an incredible $54,000 going towards Pancare Foundation’s patient support program and vital research into early detection and new treatments for these under-represented and under-funded cancers.
This November marks the launch of the third dedicated campaign, which will once again see the national Floorworld stores go purple to raise funds and awareness for Pancare Foundation. As part of the campaign, Floorworld have again mobilised the support of seven of their leading flooring suppliers. Franchise owner Helen, who has her own personal connection to the cause, generously hosted the launch at her Thomastown store with attendees learning more about the impacts of these low-survival cancers from incredible 8-year survivor Christine (pictured with the team). Her story is made even more remarkable given that the 5-year survival rate for Australians diagnosed with pancreatic cancer sits at just 11.5%.
Floorworld CEO, Bob Crotty, believes that the long-standing connection to the cause has created a meaningful foundation for the successful partnership, “The loss of one of our original directors to pancreatic cancer many years ago had a huge impact on the organisation and really motivated us to find out how we could help accelerate changes for the cause”, Bob is pleased that Floorworld has been able to activate their networks, “We’re fortunate to be in a position where we can make a meaningful contribution to the cause. Our staff, franchise owners and supplier partners are very supportive and invested in the success of the campaign, it has been remarkable to discover how many of the team have been personally impacted by these cancers. It is about time these cancers achieved greater recognition and awareness and we’re proud of our role in helping do that.”
During the month of November, Floorworld together with selected supplier partners will be offering a portion of sales from specific product lines to Pancare Foundation to help support the growth of several initiatives of the Foundation.
