With one of the lowest survival rates out of all the major cancers, it’s our mission to improve survival and support for Australians diagnosed with pancreatic, liver, stomach, biliary and oesophageal cancers – from the point of diagnosis to treatment and beyond.

Meet our specialist cancer care nurses
Pancare’s team of specialist cancer care nurses is growing, thanks to generous donations from our community fundraisers and major donors. Specialist cancer care nurses are experienced oncology nurses who provide evidence-based information regarding diagnosis, treatment, symptom management and wellbeing. They will empower you to work with your healthcare team to make informed choices about the treatment and management of your upper GI cancer.

We believe that fostering an engaged clinical research community is a key driver in the development of research programs and clinical trials that will progress the therapies and best-practice care for those impacted by upper gastrointestinal (GI) cancers into the future. Unite for Hope 2022: Echuca, Mansfield, Sydney and beyond!
Our Unite for Hope fundraisers have raised nearly $70,000 so far! These vital funds help Pancare provide patient support services and fund research into early detection and new treatments. Our passionate community of supporters in Echuca, Mansfield and Sydney braved chilly mornings, muddy fields and howling winds to unite in hope and bring greater awareness, attention and change for upper GI cancers.
