Volunteering

Volunteers are an extremely important part of our organisation and without their support we would not reach our annual fundraising goals. Volunteers not only act as representatives of the Pancare Foundation but also are the face of the thousands of everyday Australians diagnosed with pancreatic, liver, biliary, oesophageal and stomach cancers every year.

Why volunteer with Pancare?

Volunteering is a great way to get to know others, work as part of a team, develop your communication skills, gain work experience, take some time out from a busy work lifestyle and have fun while giving back to a community based organisation.

With your help, we can continue to raise vital funds and work across our key areas:

  • Patient Support: Providing holistic & individualised support to those affected by pancreatic, liver, biliary, oesophageal and stomach cancers; from the point of diagnosis through to recovery and bereavement.
  • Innovative, World-Leading, Research: Overseeing Australia’s biggest research facility solely dedicated to pancreatic, liver, biliary, oesophageal and stomach cancers.
  • Advocacy, Collaboration & Development: Working with corporate Australia; Federal/State & Local Governments as well key community leaders & organisations to advocate action and put a lasting spotlight on pancreatic, liver, biliary, oesophageal and stomach cancers.

Take up the challenge this year, become a Pancare volunteer and help to put a spotlight on pancreatic, liver, biliary, oesophageal and stomach cancers!

Throughout the year there are many opportunities to volunteer with Pancare. This could be donating your time to raising money with a group or holding a third party event at your work.

If you would like to help raise much needed funds to increase the survival rates of people affected by pancreatic, liver, biliary, oesophageal and stomach cancer, please get in touch!
