We are proud to have contributed $277,500 between 2016-2022 to the Upper GI Cancer Registry (UGICR), a registry dedicated to improving outcomes and the quality of care for people diagnosed with upper gastrointestinal cancers.

Dr Ian Luk's project developed a much-needed animal model of biliary tract cancer which was used to test new drugs and drug combinations to combat this disease.

This project investigated a novel drug delivery system capable of locally delivering two chemotherapeutic drugs directly to the site of the tumour with the overall goal of reducing tumour size so that patients can undergo life-saving surgery for pancreatic cancer.
