Upper gastrointestinal (GI) support groups
Pancare Foundation is here to support you (the patient) and your family from the point of an upper gastrointestinal (GI) cancer diagnosis through treatment and beyond. We have a variety of PanSupport patient and carer support groups that we run face-to-face (COVID permitting) and online. We can also connect you with telephone cancer support groups and our telehealth support service no matter where you live in Australia.

Online support groups
We understand that living with an upper gastrointestinal (GI) cancer can have a profound impact on your wellbeing. Our PanSupport Patient Support Group provides an opportunity to interact with people who share similar experiences with you. Our groups provide a place to talk about the challenges you may be facing; an opportunity to share learnings, practical tips and information; and a community for comfort and support.
Peer-to-peer support groups
Once a month we hold a peer to peer, dedicated patient session which provides a caring, an open forum where you can share your experiences with other patients. These groups are suitable for people just diagnosed, going through, or post treatment for pancreatic, liver, stomach, biliary and oesophageal cancer.
Specialist presenter led support groups
Once a month we hold a combined patient & carer online support group featuring a specialist presenter who will discuss a specific, relevant topic, such as survivorship, diet and nutrition and managing side effects of treatment.
Upcoming support groups
Our peer to peer sessions provide a caring, an open forum where you can share your experiences with other patients. These groups are suitable for people just diagnosed, going through, or post treatment for pancreatic, liver, stomach, biliary or oesophageal cancer.
Our dedicated PanSupport Online Patient Support Groups will be run across the year. Additional ‘Specialist Presenter Led’ groups for Patients & Carers, where external experts address particular areas of interest, will also take place once a month.
