Stavros' story of hope

When Stavros heard the words “you have stomach cancer” in 2025, his world stopped.

At 56, he imagined a future filled with family, laughter, and simple joys, not chemotherapy, surgery, and the fear of what tomorrow might bring.

Overwhelmed and unsure where to turn, Stavros reached out to Pancare after his aunt suggested he call. From that moment, he wasn’t alone.

Our specialist nurse took the time to explain every step of his treatment, answering the questions that kept him awake at night. He found comfort in counselling sessions and strength in connecting with others through our support groups.

Today, Stavros is living with his aunt and uncle while unable to work, surrounded by love and supported by Pancare every step of the way. His courage reminds us why we exist, to ensure no one faces cancer alone.
