Joanna is a social worker with many years’ experience supporting people through complex health concerns. She has worked in community palliative care, supporting individuals and families facing life limiting illness.
“My aim is to create a safe, compassionate space where people feel comfortable sharing their experiences and supported by someone who understands the unique challenges of an upper gastrointestinal cancer diagnosis. I hope they leave feeling heard, understood, and supported.”
What do you enjoy most about being part of the Pancare team?
“Working alongside people who are committed to supporting individuals and families through some of the most challenging times in their lives. It is a team that not only makes a meaningful difference for those we support, but also supports one another with compassion and care.”
What’s your favourite way to spend time or unwind outside of work?
“Getting out into urban nature, exploring those parts of the city close to home that make you feel like you’re in the bush. Pilates, running, reading fiction, and spending time with family and friends are all ways that help me unwind.”
